Update of Weather Conditions on 2nd December 2017 @ 10.30 am. IST
Very Severe Cyclonic Storm ‘OCKHI’ over Southeast Arabian Sea & Lakshdweep Areas per International Agencies have this System at 85 knots wind speed (based on 1 minute average wind speed) & 970 mb pressure location Lat. 9.4 N & Long 71.5 E. The System is expected to intensify further during next 24 hour. Current track changing to Northwest and subsequently a re-curve expected around 4th December towards West Indian coast. System expected to weeken gradually from 4th December onwards. However, there is a possibility of unseasonal rain for Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch & adjoining States during 4th to 6th December 2017.
The Well Marked Low Pressure over South Andaman Sea & neighborhood with associated UAC extending up to 5.8 km above mean sea persist. It is expected to track towards South Indian Coast during the next few days while concentrating further to a Depression System.
Note: IMD considers wind speed based on 3 minute Average in their System classifications.
અતિ તીવ્ર વાવાઝોડુ OCKHI’ . હાલ દક્ષિણ પૂર્વ અરબી માં લક્ષદ્વીપ નજીક વિસ્તાર માં છે. જે કેરળ ના કિનારા થી 500 કિમિ પશ્ચિમે છે . પવન 125 થી 135 કિમી ની ઝડપ અને ઝાટકા ના પવનો 150 કિમી ની ઝડપે ફૂંકાય છે IMD મુજબ. સિસ્ટમ 24 કલાક હજુ મજબૂત થશે અને ત્યાર બાદ ક્રમશ નબળી પડશે. સિસ્ટમ નબળી પડતી હોવા થી પવન માત્રા ઘટશે. સિસ્ટમ ટ્રેક હાલ ભારત થી દૂર જાય છે પણ 4 તારીખ આસપાસ સિસ્ટમ ફરી ભારત કિનારા તરફ મોઢું ફેરવે તેવું IMD તેમજ ઇન્ટરનૅશનલ એજન્સીઓ ના ફોરકાસ્ટ બતાવે છે. તારીખ 4 ના સિસ્ટમ દૂર હોવા છતાં વાદળ સમૂહો ગુજરાત સુધી આવે તેવી સંભાવના છે માટે તારીખ 4 થી 6 માં માવઠા ની શક્યતા માટે સાવચેત રહેવું. સિસ્ટમ આધારિત હોય તેમજ ઘણા દિવસ બાકી હોય ફેર ફરી પણ થઇ શકે જેની અપડેટ જરૂર જણાયે થશે.
