Monsoon Status based on IMD Inferences:
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continues to pass through Lat. 26.0 °N / Long. 70.0°E, Barmer, Sikar, Sonipat, Shimla, Una, Jammu and Lat.32.5°N/Long. 74.5°E.
The Western Disturbance is now seen as an Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over North Pakistan & neighborhood between 3.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level.
The trough at mean sea level now runs from Punjab to Manipur across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Northern parts of West Bengal and extends up to 0.9 km above mean sea level. Normally after the Southwest monsoon sets in over whole India this trough si referred to as Axis of Monsoon trough. The current location of this trough is much North of the normal position which should be from Barmer, Rajasthan to Central Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chattishgarh, Odisha & BOB. Hence likely less Monsoon activity for Gujarat.
The offshore trough at mean sea level now runs from Gujarat coast to north Kerala coast.

Weather Forecast For Saurashtra, Kutch & North Gujarat 4th July to 9th July 2017
Saurashra, Kutch & North Gujarat expected to receive scattered showers or light rain with isolated medium rain on few days over different places on different days during the forecast period. Windy conditions to continue over Saurashtra & Kutch till around 7th July.
Madhya Gujarat or East Central Gujarat expected to receive scattered showers light/medium rain in different places on different days during the forecast period with cumulative total rain of up to 5 centimeters on upper side.
South Gujarat expected to receive scattered showers/light/medium/heavy rain in different places on different days during the forecast period with cumulative total rain of 4 centimeters to 10 centimeters.

માધ્ય ગુજરાત : આગાહી સમય માં અલગ અલગ દિવસે અલગ અલગ જગ્યાએ ઝાપટા /હળવો/ મધ્યમ વરસાદની સંભાવના જેની કૂલ માત્રા ઉપર માં 5 સેન્ટીમીટર.
દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત : આગાહી સમય માં અલગ અલગ દિવસે અલગ અલગ જગ્યાએ ઝાપટા /હળવો/ મધ્યમ/ભારે વરસાદની સંભાવના જેની કૂલ માત્રા 4 સેન્ટીમીટર થી 10 સેન્ટીમીટર.

6. “મારા શહેર, કે ગામ માં વરસાદ ક્યારે થશે ?” તેવા સવાલ પૂછવા નહિ. સામાન્ય રીતે સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, ગુજરાત અને કચ્છ ના બહોળા વિસ્તારો ની આગાહી આપેલ હોઈ છે. તમારા વિસ્તાર ના મોટા સેન્ટર માટે વંડરગ્રાઉન્ડ ની આગાહી ની લિન્ક આપેલ છે અહીં મેનુ માં.
