Current Weather Conditions on 30th August 2016
The Low Pressure area near Coastal Andhra Pradesh has fizzled and now only the Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation persists up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level.
There is a broad Upper Air Circulation at 700 hPa level over Rajasthan and Gujarat extending till Arabian Sea off Kutch/Saurashtra Coast.
The Axis of Monsoon trough was passing from Jaisalmer Rajasthan to Gopalpur Odisha and thence towards Central bay of Bengal. However, since the Andhra Low has fizzled, now the Axis passes through Bikaner, Agra, Varanasi, Bhagalpur, Malda and thence towards Manipur.
The western Disturbance as a trough in Mid-tropospheric Westerlies now runs along Longitude 67.0°E and North of Latitude 28.0°N.
Forecast: 30th August to 5th September 2016
Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: Rain to continue till tomorrow but the area and quantum to decrease in Saurashtra & Kutch. Gujarat the rain will continue till 1st September along with adjoining areas of Saurashtra. Main round of rain to end and however, scattered showers can occur during the rest of the forecast period.
