Even though the earlier forecast dated 23rd July was not for widespread heavy rain, the forecast being for scattered showers/ light or medium rain during the forecast period till 28th July, notable rain was absent over most parts of Saurashtra & Kutch. However, today there are reports of scattered rain over some areas of Saurashtra.
The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Bikaner, Jaipur, Sultanpur, Bhagalpur, Bahrampur and thence Eastwards to Manipur.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over East Rajasthan & adjoining northwest Madhya Pradesh persosts and now extends up to 3.1 km above sea level. A broad Circulation of this UAC will at times extend up to North Gujarat.

Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat expected to get scattered light rain to medium rain on different days over different places of the forecast period. Coastal areas of Saurashtra & South Gujarat and adjoining areas could get higher quantum during the forecast period.

ચોમાસુ ધરી નો પશ્ચિમ છેડો બિકાનેર, જયપુર, સુલતાનપુર, ભાગલપુર બહરામપુર અને ત્યાં થી પૂર્વ તરફ મણિપુર સુધી લંબાય છે.
એક યુએસી પૂર્વ રાજસ્થાન અને નોર્થ વેસ્ટ એમ.પી. ઉપર 3.1 કિમી ની ઊંચાયે છે. ક્યારેક આ યુએસી નું બહોળું સર્કુલેસન નોર્થ ગુજરાત સુધી લંબાશે.

આગાહી સમય માં સૌરાષ્ટ્ર, કચ્છ અને ગુજરાત માં છુટા છવાયો હળવો મધ્યમ વરસાદ અલગ અલગ દિવસે અલગ અલગ વિસ્તાર માં પડવાની શક્યતા છે. સૌરાષ્ટ્ર ના કાંઠા ના વિસ્તાર માં અને દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત અને લાગુ વિસ્તારો માં માત્રા બીજા વિસ્તાર કરતા વધુ રહેશે.
