Current Weather Conditions on 22nd June 2016
There has been scattered showers and light rain yesterday over some parts of Saurashtra & South Gujarat with few places like Rajula & Surat receiving medium rainfall.
The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some parts of north Arabian Sea, extreme southern parts of Gujarat state and some more parts of southwest Madhya Pradesh.
The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) continue to passes through Lat. 21.0°N/ Long. 60.0°E, Lat. 21.0°N/Long.65.0°E,Veraval, Surat, Ratlam, Jhansi, Lucknow, Pantnagar, Dehradun, Una and Jammu.
The trough at mean sea level from North Rajasthan to Manipur now runs from North Rajasthan to Tripura across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation over coastal Karnataka & neighborhood persists and now seen between 3.6 & 4.5 km above mean sea level.
An Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation lies over West Central & adjoining South Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh & North Tamilnadu coasts and extends between 2.1 & 5.8 km above mean sea level.
The East-West shear zone at 500 hPa level now runs roughly along lat 12.0°N.
An off shore trough at mean sea level extends from North Maharashtra to Coastal Karnataka

Forecast:
Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: 22nd June to 29th June 2016
There will be light or medium rain and or scattered showers on various days of forecast period. The cumulative total for various regions is given here under:
50% Saurashtra 5 Cms to 8 Cms. & 50% Saurashtra 2 Cms. to 5 Cms. during the forecast period.
Kutch & adjoining North Gujarat scattered showers up to 4 Cms. during the forecast period.
South Gujarat & Central Gujarat expected to receive 3 Cms. to 10 Cms.
North Gujarat scattered showers to 3 Cms. to 10 Cms. during the forecast period.
