Today Southwest Monsoon has advanced further over South Arabian Sea, remaining parts of Maldives-Comorin area, most parts of Kerala & Tamilnadu, some parts of South Interior Karnataka, remaining parts of South Bay of Bengal and some more parts of Central Bay of Bengal.

The Northern Limit of Monsoon (NLM) passes  through Lat. 12.0°N/ Long.60.0°E, Lat. 12.0°N/ Long. 70.0°E, Cannur, Chennai Lat. 14.0°N / Long. 84.0°E, Lat. 17.0°N/ Long. 92.0°E, Lat. 18.0°N/ Long. 94.0°E.
