South India & Adjoining Areas Expected To Receive Rainfall June 1st To 7th June – North India To Experience Heat Wave 4th To 7th June

The Maximum Temperature is near normal over most centers of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch. The hot center Maximum Temperature were between 40.7 C to 41.9 C today.

Under the influence of rainfall over many parts of North India, the Maximum Temperature has fallen and there is no Heat Wave over any parts of India. The Maximum Temperatures of hot centers of India are 43.0 C to 43.6 C.

Onset of Southwest Monsoon over Kerala has been delayed by few days.

Forecast: 1st June to 7th June 2016

Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch: 1st June to 7th June 2016

Maximum Temperature will remain near normal over most centers of Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch for a day or two and then gradually increase during the forecast period over Saurashtra, Gujarat & Kutch. Temperature is expected to be between 41 C to 44 C. over North Gujarat with some places exceeding 44 C during 4th to 7th June. The Temperature over Saurashtra will be lower than North Gujarat and could range between 40 C to 43 C with some places exceeding 43 C during 4th to 7th June. Morning humidity will be between 75 % to 85 % and the evening humidity will increase and hence the Heat Index is expected to be very high during 4th to 7th June over most places of Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat. The wind speed will be high in the evening. Due to upper air instability there will be scattered clouding on some days with scattered thunder showers on few days during 1st to 7th June over Gujarat and Saurashtra.

India: 1st June to 7th June 2016

Currently there is no Heat Wave over India. However, the Hot weather areas and Maximum Temperature will gradually start to increase, starting with Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and then U.P. The Hot Weather will spread over rest of Rajashan and adjoining North Gujarat along with M.P. during 4th to 7th June. The Maximum Temperature of Hot Weather States could range from 45 C to 48 C.

South India & Adjoining areas: 1st June to 7th June 2016

North Kerala, Karnataka, Konkan expected to receive cumulative 8 Cm. to 15 Cms. rainfall during the forecast period.
South Kerala, Rest of Maharashtra & adjoing Chhatishgarh, Andhra Pradesh and parts of Tamilnadu expected to receive cumulative 4 Cm. to 7 Cms. rainfall during the forecast period.

 

Pakistan: 1st June to 7th June 2016

Maximum Temperature range expected 47 C to 50 C.
