Current Weather Conditions on 15th April 2015

There had been unseasonal rain and hail storm mainly on 11th to 13th April over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat and over limited areas on 14th April.
There is a new Western Disturbance over Coastal Pakistan. The earlier Western Disturbance continues to move Eastwards and lies over Madhya Pradesh and adjoining areas of U.P. & Maharashtra with a trough deeping to the Peninsular States. The UAC over Gujarat & vicinity has weakened. The Jet Stream at 200 Mb. was running from North to South over whole Gujarat and now is running from Northwest to Southeast over whole Gujarat.

The Maximum Temperature over most parts of Gujarat are below normal by 1 to 5 C.

The Temperature is expected to start increasing from 16th April and is expected to become near normal. Maximum Temperature is expected to increase further during the forecast period and continue to do so till 21st April over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat. Area wise Maximum Temperature for the forecast  period is given herunder:

16th April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers reaching near normal (38 to 40 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.

17th April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers above normal (40 to 42 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.

18th April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers above normal (41 to 43 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.

19th April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers above normal (41 to 43 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.

20th April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers above normal (41 to 43 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.

21st April the Maximum Temperature of hot centers above normal (41 to 43 C) over Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat.
