Arabian Sea Low Pressure 650 Kms. West Of Karnataka Coast

Yesterday there has been rain with thunder and high winds over many parts of Saurashtra. Although the average rainfall over Saurashtra for 28th September is only 3 mm. there are places which got heavy rainfall. Places that got more than 10 mm. of rainfall are Ghogha 52 mm., Keshod 34 mm., Kutiyana 30 mm., Upleta 24 mm., Manavadar 18 mm., and Bhavnagar & Porbandar 13 mm. each. Today also the situation is similar to yesterday and scattered thunder and rainfall has occurred over many places across Saurashtra.

Yesterday's Cyclonic Circulation West of Karnataka has strengthened to a Low Pressure over the same area currently lying at 12.5N and 69E. about 650 to 700 Kms. West of the Karnataka Coast. The System is expected to strengthen further to a well Marked Low Pressure within 24 hours.
