The Cyclonic Storm "NISHA" has weakened and moved over to the Arabian Sea as a Low Pressure. Convective clouds are scattered over South India, Maharashtra and Saurashtra.

The Cyclonic Storm "NISHA" is currently lying at 11.5N and 78.5E in Tamilnadu with winds about 80 Kms./Hour with Central Pressure of 985 Mb. It is expected to move in North Weswards direction and move over to Arabian Sea by Saturday.

The Depression in the Bay of Bengal close to Tamilnadu Coast strengthened to a Deep Depression yesterday and this morning further strengthened to Cyclonic Storm "NISHA" currently located at 10.5N and 80E very close to South Tamilnadu Coast. Winds are 80 Kms./Hour with Central Pressure of 989 Mb. Wave heigth is 3.5 Meters.

The Cyclonic Circulation in the Bay of Bengal had strengthened to a Low Pressure yesterday and then to a Well Marked Low Pressure this morning and by this evening it has further strengthened to a Depression currently located at 9.5N and 80.5E very close to North Shri Lanka and South Tamilnadu Coast. Winds are 55 Kms./Hour with Central Pressure of 1000 Mb.
Weather Forecast for South India:
25th to 30th November: Under the effect of this Depression which is expected to strengthen further to a Depression, heavy rains of 12 Cms. to 17 Cms. with Isolated places getting more than 25 Cms. are expected to fall over Tamilnadu, Kerala and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during this period. South Karnataka will get up to 6 Cms. of rain.

22nd to 28th November: Under the cumulative effect of a Low pressure expected to be formed in the the Bay of Bengal and the Cyclonic Circulation in the Arabian Sea, heavy rains of 12 Cms. to 17 Cms. with Isolated places getting more than 25 Cms. are expected to fall over Tamilnadu, Kerala and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh during this period.
