The Deep Depression over North Bay of Bengal has intensified into a Cyclonic Storm, ‘RASHMI’ is currently located at lat. 19.80 N and Long. 88.7 E, 300 km South of Kolkata.
Forecast: Very heavy rainfall is likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Orissa, Bangla Desh during next 48 hours. Winds 75 Kms/hour with gusts of 100 Kms./Hour. Central pressure is 993 Mb.. Wave height is 10 feet.
Expected landfall on 27th early morning along the low lying South 24 Pargana and adjoining areas of East Midnapur districts of West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh coast at the time of landfall. Very heavy flooding is expected at landfall along these areas.

The Depression BOB05 has intensified further to a Deep Depression as it moved slowly Northward. Current location is 18N 88E. with 35 knots and 1000 mb. Pressure. it is moving in a North North Easterly direction at 10 Kms./Hour.
Forecast: The Deep Depression will intensify further and is expected to become a named Cyclonic Storm "RASHMI".
Saurashtra: Daytime High Temperatures will continue till 28th, however, the night Temperatures will come down by 1 to 2 Degrees.

The Low Pressure off the coast of Kerala/Karnataka persists and has moved a little North.
Yesterday's Low Pressure in the Bay of Bengal has strengthened to a Depression lying at 16.7 N 86.8 E. with 1000 mb. pressure and 30 knots winds.
Rains for Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Orissa, West Bengal, Bangla Desh and North Eastern States during the next three days, apart from parts of Southern Peninsula.
Saurashtra: Weather expected to remain hot till 28th October.

The Cyclonic Circulation off the coast of Kerala/Karnataka has developed into a Low Pressure with wind speeds of 36 Kms./Hour with gusts upto 45 Kms./Hour. The Central pressure is 1007 mb.
Current location of LP is 10.4 N 73.5 E. about 250 Kms. West of North Kerala coast. It is expected to strengthen futher to a Well Marked Low Pressure within 24 Hours.
Rains for Southern Peninsula will continue. Cyclonic Circulation over the Bay of Bengal is expected to strengthen to a Low Pressure by 25th October.
Saurashtra: Weather expected to remain hot till 28th October.
