The barometric pressure at Rajkot is now in the 1008 to 1012 mb. range and the weather over Saurashtra is mostly clear.
Forecast: Saurashtra will remain mostly clear and no rain expected over more than 98% of the area for next five days. It is expected to be more cloudy on Friday and Saturday with increase in daytime Temperatures.
Monsoon withdrawal as per IMD: The South-West Monsoon has withdrawn from Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana most parts of Uttarakhand, some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, most parts of Rajasthan and some parts of Gujarat State, most parts of north Arabian Sea. The monsoon withdrawal line passes through Lat. 23.00N/Long 60.00 E, 23.00 N/ 65.00 E, Naliya, Dessa, Swaimadhopur, Dholpur,Bareillly and Mukteshwar.

Current Weather status @ 6.00 pm. on 19th September 2008
Rainfall activity had shifted towards South Gujarat and Maharashtra Coast during the daytime. However, currently heavy rain bearing convective clouds are over Bhavnagar District and Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar Districts and adjoining Central Gujarat.
Rest of Saurashtra had clear weather today.

Current Weather status @ 6.00 pm. on 18th September 2008
Cyclonic Circulation persists over Bhavnagar, Central Gujarat area. Convective clouds are being sucked in to this area. One such System of clouds bringing rainfall activity has moved over from Deesa- Patan area to Saurashtra giving rains to Halwad, Morvi, Rajkot and Central Saurashtra. Also rainfall activity area streches from Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar & Amreli District, Central Gujarat & South Gujarat.

18th September 2008 status at 12.00 pm.
Cyclonic Circulation is now over Bhavnagar, Central Gujarat area. Currently rainfall activity area streches from Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar & Amreli District, Central Gujarat & South Gujarat.
There is a Western disturbance over North India. The Depression from BOB is now over Chhatishgarh. It is likely to move North Westwards. The outcome of the depression path will be clear by tomorrow.
Heavy rains for North India apart from Chhatishgarh, Orissa, M.P. & U.P.
There is a chance of Low Temperature over Karshmir with some Icy precipitations.

18th September 2008 status at 6.00 am.
Cyclonic Circulation has again moved South Eastwards over Saurashtra and Gujarat. Currently rainfall activity area is from Shamdaji border to Ahmedabad Bhavnagar Amreli Junagadh and Rajkot District, Central Gujarat & South Gujarat.
