A Low Pressure has developed in the Bay of Bengal currently located at 9.2 N & 89 E. about 500 Kms. South West of the Andaman & Nicobar Island. The wind speed is about 45 Kms./Hour and the Pressure is 1004 Mb.
Temperature over Saurshtra has been between 37 to 40 Degrees C. for the last few days.
Weather Forecast Rajkot, Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
29th March to 4th April : The Maximum Temperature will decrease to around 34 to 36 degrees from Monday till the end of this forecast period.
Forecast for the BOB Low Pressure:
The Low Pressure in the Bay of Bengal is expected to initially move in a Northerly direction and then track North Eastwards. It is expected to give rains to North Eastern States and Myanmar in a few days.

Current Conditions on 21th March 2008 at 12.30 pm.
The Cyclonic Circulation in the South East Arabian Sea has strengthened to a Low Pressure lying at 8.8N 74.3E about 200 Kms. West of Kerala Coast. There has been rains over Tamilnadu, Kerala, and Karnataka dusring the past few days.
Temperature over Saurshtra is on the rise.
Weather Forecast Rajkot, Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
21th March to 25th March : The Maximum Temperature will increase to around 37 to 39 Degrees C. till 23rd/24th March and then a decrease of two to three Degrees around 24th/25th March depending upon the outcome of the Low Pressure in the South East Arabian Sea.
Weather Forecast South India:
21th March to 25th March : There will be unusual heavy rain in South India. Tamilnadu, Kerala & Karnataka will receive rains during 21th to 23rd March. The heaviest rains are forecast for Coastal Karnataka and Coastal Kerala where the there will be 4 to 6 Inches of rain. The System is expected to move inwards from Karnataka towards Andhra Pradesh and along South Maharashtra where there will be rains during 23rd to 25th March. Rains are also forecast for Chhatisgarh and Orrisa during 24th and 25th March.

Current Conditions on 20th March 2008 at 1.00 pm.
There is a Cyclonic Circulation in the South East Arabian Sea just West off the tip of Indian Peninsula @ 8.3N 75.7E . There is a chance of this system to intensify. There has been rains over Tamilnadu, Kerala, and Karnataka dusring the past few days.
Saurashtra had relief from hot weather for a day or two and again the Temperature is on the rise.
Weather Forecast Rajkot, Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
20th March to 25th March : The Maximum Temperature will increase to around 37 to 39 Degrees C. till 23rd March and then a decrease of one to two Degrees on 24th and 25th March depending upon the outcome of the Cyclonic Circulation in South East Arabian Sea.
Weather Forecast South India:
20th March to 25th March : There will be unusual heavy rain in South India. Tamilnadu, Kerala & Karnataka will receive rains during 20th to 23rd March. The heaviest rains are forecast for Coastal Karnataka where the there will be 4 to 6 Inches of rain. The System is expected to move inwards from Karnataka towards Andhra Pradesh and along South Maharashtra where there will be rains during 23rd to 25th March. Rains for Mumbai is not yet clearly forecast during the above time as of today. However, the conditions will be updated as warranted.

Clouds over most parts of Saurashtra has cleared and the Temperature is on the rise. South India has received significant rain in the past two days.

15th March to 18th March : The Maximum Temperature will increase to around 37 to 39 Degrees C. for the forecast period.
Weather Forecast South India:
15th March to 20th March : There will be unusual heavy rain in South India. Tamilnadu, Kerala & Karnataka will get 2 to 6 Inches of rain during the forecast period while Coastal Andhra Pradesh will get upto 2 Inches of rain during the same period.

The weather over most parts of Saurashtra has been cloudy and the Temperatures have been above normal.
Weather Forecast Rajkot, Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
11th March to 13th March : The Maximum & Minimum Temperatures will come down by 2 to 3 Degrees for the next two three days because of cloudy weather over most parts of Saurashtra till 13th March. There is a remote chance of unseasonal showers over isolated places in Saurashtra or Gujarat on 12th March.
Weather Forecast Rajastan, UP.: There is a good chance of scattered showers over isolated places in Rajastan on 12th & 13th March and over isolated places of Uttar Pradesh on 13th & 14th March.
South India: Tamilnadu & Kerala will get 2 to 4 Inches of rain in the next few days. Isolated places of Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka will get rains upto 1 Inch during the same period.

The normal Maximum and Minimum Temperatures for first week of March is about 34 Degrees and 16 Degrees C respectively. Minimum Temperatures over most parts of Saurashtra has been near normal. However, the Maximum Temperature was about 2 to 3 Degrees more than normal.
Weather Forecast Rajkot, Saurashtra, Kutch & Gujarat:
5th March to 10th March : The Maximum & Minimum Temperatures will remain above normal by 1 to 2 Degrees. The sky will remain clear for most part of the forecast period.

The Minimum Temperatures over most parts of Saurashtra has been near normal. However, the Maximum Temperature has increased and is above normal.
